Back up data if possible, switch the device off and use a rigid box with cushioning on every side.
Repair begins only after delivery, diagnosis, an estimate and your approval.
Most transit damage we see comes down to one of these five things.
| Step | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Back up your data first if the laptop still runs | Transport is the one part of the process nobody controls |
| Remove the battery if it is removable | And never ship a swollen battery — tell us instead |
| Wrap the laptop in bubble wrap on every side | Corners and the screen are what break in transit |
| Fill the empty space in the box | A laptop that moves inside the box is a laptop that arrives damaged |
| Include a note with your name, phone and the fault | So the parcel can be matched to your request the moment it arrives |
The process is the same as an in-person handover, just with photos.
You get a message the day the parcel arrives, with the job number.
We photograph the device as it arrived, which protects both sides if something happened in transit.
Same as any other job — the cost and time before any work begins.
We send it back the same way once the repair is approved, tested and finished.
Sending a device to us safely.
Laptops are what we normally receive by parcel locker. For a desktop, contact us first — the packaging requirements are different and sometimes a visit makes more sense.
Shipping to us is arranged by you. The return is agreed together with the estimate so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Do not ship it. A swollen lithium battery is a transport hazard — call us and we will agree a different route.
Add the shipping time to the normal repair time. Simple jobs come back within a few days; board-level electronics take 1–14 days plus transit in both directions.
Describe the symptoms and device model. We will suggest the next step and confirm the price before starting any repair.
